Sawdust or shavings from chemically treated or painted wood should never go in your composter.
Weeds that have gone to seed and diseased plants should never go in your composter.
Meat, fish, fowl, bones, pet manure or litter should never go in your composter. They attract pests and cause odours.
Fats, oils, spreads, dairy products, eggs, peanut butter, and related materials should never go in your composter. They breakdown more slowly, attract pests and cause bad odours.
