These kinds of wastes should not be thrown away with your regular garbage or poured down the drain where they could cause damage to the environment.
NOTE: Industrial, Commercial or Institutional Waste is NOT ACCEPTED.
Household Hazardous Waste Days provide an opportunity for residents of Brantford to discard unwanted items such as:

ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT
Bring your tired electronic equipment to the Household Hazardous Waste Days for recycling.
Acceptable items include: Monitors, TVs, computers & related components, telephones, electronic calculators, photocopiers, fax machines, VCRs, DVD players, and cameras.
Unacceptable items include: Power tools, appliances, microwaves, electric motors, air conditioners, water coolers, dehumidifiers, white goods (refrigerators, freezers), etc.
FLUORESCENT TUBES
Bring fluorescent tubes to Household Waste Events, in a cardboard box or wrap them in newspaper. Do not tape tubes together. Limit of 10 tubes per vehicle per event day.
BRING US YOUR TIRES
All tires, on or off the rim, are now accepted.
