BRANTFORD REGULAR GARBAGE COLLECTION: A maximum of five containers or bags per household will be collected each week. Each container must weigh less than 25 kg (55lbs). Be sure to have garbage to the curb by 7:00 am but not before 7:00 pm the night before.

CHRISTMAS TREE COLLECTION (Usually first two weeks in January): Place Christmas tree at curbside before 7:00 am on regular garbage collection day. Remove ornaments, tinsel, tree stands and plastic bags from Christmas trees.
FREE COMPOST AT MOHAWK STREET LANDFILL SITE
Starting May 7: Free compost while quantities last, Mohawk Street Landfill, Monday to Saturday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Bag-your-own! Bring a shovel & containers, limit 2 bags per day.
BACKYARD COMPOSTERS:
Backyard composters are available at the Mohawk Street Landfill Site, Monday to Saturday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Cost is $20 per unit and available to Brantford residents only.

Minimum Load Fee (all loads weighing 150 kg or less) are $ 10.00 per load and no limit to the number of visits per year. Any loads over 150 kg or beyond the small load exemption are charged the applicable tipping fee rate.

Please note electronics and tires are always accepted at the landfill site. Tires on the rim are $5 each, off the rim, no cost.
Appliances are $ 10.00 each.
